Mandalay is a private residence situated on the banks of Lake Macquarie. The large bespoke home is being constructed to very specific specifications. It includes a 2m x 2m lift, copper features including down pipes, roof and soffits, luxurious 70sqm family kitchen and state of the art media room.
Only natural materials are being used in the construction and the brief of the client is for the building to last for at least 300 years, as it is to be passed down through generations. The build is pushing design and construction boundaries with 7 metre glass windows with no joins, one piece bay windows with curved glass and smart glass internal walls allowing the owner to enjoy the 180-degree views of Lake Macquarie from anywhere inside the home.

As Forbair has formed a relationship with the developer and demonstrated how we Engineer Building Ecosystems through previous projects, the developer has entrusted Forbair to manage the project from completing the design, organising the construction certificate through to completion of construction. The project is three high-end townhouses designed by White and Dickson Architects, including 3.6m high ceilings in living areas.
